Confident, an initiator, a problem-solver, Taha uses his communication skills and emotional intelligence to motivate others to attain goals. The constant in his life that has shaped how he acts, reacts, and makes decisions – diversity.
Growing up immersed in a traditional environment, his father a software engineer and my mother an arts graduate. As a child he watched each one’s uniqueness enrich the whole. Throughout his childhood and career, he learned that finding and utilizing the strengths of each team member not only maximizes productivity, it creates synergy, strengthening group dynamic and enriching all members of the team through exposure to others’ expertise. The amazing diversity he has experienced in his life has shaped Taha to who he is today.
Taha believes that to succeed he needed to learn from everyone around him. His community became his extended family, and they still are. Since then, wherever he goes, school, work, or travel, he always try to create “small families.” he hope to make his next family in the Pickering Uxbridge community.
Taha is a creative, dedicated and original thinker. He has native intelligence, great curiosity about people and ideas, and plenty of leadership sense has allowed him to grow as a community builder. In addition, he has demonstrated excellent powers of observation, and an ability to communicate and suggest community changes in effective ways without compromising quality.
Taha was born and raised in Markham by two hardworking and dedicated parents. He has spent his formative years in Markham and knows first hand how he can make a difference.
Taha is well aware of the changes needed within the education system, health care and transportation system. He attended elementary (Randall Public School, Town Centre Montessori Private Schools) and high school (Pierre Elliott Trudeau High School) in Markham. Throughout his career, Taha innovated long-standing traditions by serving on the student government. He took this same passion with him to the Schulich School of Business, where he continued to be an active member of his school and the community whilst obtaining a degree believes his business background will give him the edge he needs to make important decisions for the good of the education system.
